Well today we had a big meeting for all the students concerning departure information. The usual blah blah then is when we have to leave, you have to have your room inspected. Well, I knew that people had to be out of the dorms on April 16, and with my flight leaving April 17th I figured it wouldn’t be any kind of problem to be here one more night, as I thought it would be easy for them to be flexible with me since well, there’s not many people actually living here and it would be a nice thing to do. However, I’m somewhat angry and frustrated that I was told that no, I can’t do that, and in fact what I will have to do is stay overnight in a hotel on the 16th. So, now my options are down to staying at a hotel overnight somewhere on the 16th to the tune of at least $60, to changing my flight reservation for the 16th which will mean losing my aisle seat and having to sit in-between sleeping people with no hope of escape and certain hope of having DVT set in on the flight. Right now I probably will change my flight to the 16th and just stick it out since I don’t see the point of sitting around some hotel room waiting when I could be back in the US already. Now I just have to wait until my mom wakes up so I can make sure she can pick me up at the airport one day earlier. -_-
