Nick and Nikki’s Adventures in Japan

My blog post is finally done chronicling my adventures in Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka with Nick. Its 19 pages long. Enjoy!!
Day 1: (Monday Dec 19,2005)
Woke up at 5:30am, and looked outside my window to find that about a foot (yes, 12 inches!) of snow had fallen in Hikone. Not too happy about [...]

It’s dead…..

JCMU is now a deadzone. Walking through the dark hallways I can’t hear anyone making any noise….I feel like I’m in some horror movie where I’m stuck in this haunted building all alone. A majority of the students have either left for winter vacation back in the US, or have returned to the [...]

I passed!!!

So my final grade in Level 2 Intensive Japanese is…a B!! This was one of the hardest classes that I have ever taken, so I’m very proud of my B. Hopefully I can make it a B+ for Level 3??!?
Bring on the vacation!

It’s freaking cold!

Last night I went to Coco’s with Cassidy and with all of our conversation partners to enjoy their new ‘winter’ dessert menu, which has many yummy strawberry dishes on it. When we were done eating, we left the restaurant to find it pouring out. Since the academic building (which is connected to Coco’s) [...]

A day at some of Kyoto’s famous temples……in the rain

Two weeks have passed since Cassidy and I went to Hiroshima and Fukuoka, so we decided that we were finally rested up enough, and we put on our traveling shoes once again, this time to visit Kyoto. Because of the event that I had attended at the Kyoto Women’s College about a month back, [...]
