For the past two days it has been raining hard without stop, but today the rain stopped and the weather become quite pleasant. All through Japanese class I was able to look out the window and see beautiful Lake Biwa and the mountains that surround the other site. 4 hours later, however, the winds have picked up, and on a trip down to the general message board I was informed that Typhoon Nabi will be passing through here tonight and tomorrow morning. It is apparently a “class five storm” though from what I can glean from the limited news reports, only the edge of it will be hitting us. At the same time I’ve been feeling like crap for the past few days, and its been getting progressively worse, to the point there today I think I have a fever. In about 10 minutes I’m going to be going to visit a Japanese doctor. Not a situation that I was looking forward to experiencing during my year in Japan.
